Areas of Speciality

Haya specializes in providing assessment and treatment to children and adolescents using a collaborative and strength-focused approach. She primarily uses a Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy framework, while also integrating Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy when appropriate for her clients. With experience in helping youth navigate a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, emotion dysregulation, and selective mutism, Haya works to create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment that is guided by the needs and goals of each client.

Believing in the essential role of family, Haya actively involves parents in the therapy process, recognizing that they are uniquely positioned to support lasting positive change in their child’s life.

In her assessment work, Haya has assisted children, adolescents, and young adults in identifying both strengths and challenges across a variety of areas, including cognition, learning, attention, as well as executive, social, and emotional functioning.
