Background

Michelle Miakouchkine (she/her) received her Bachelor of science in Cognitive Science from McGill University in 2016 and her Master of science in Educational Neuroscience from Birkbeck, the University of London in 2017. Throughout her education, she has contributed to research projects that examined various mental health disorders as well as social development in children with autism. Michelle has also completed a practicum through McGill University where she worked one-to-one with a student with learning disabilities and ADHD and she has 7 years of experience providing remedial support for children with learning differences. 

Areas of Specialty

Michelle completes psychoeducational assessments with children and adolescents under the supervision of Dr. Arnold that aim to assess learning disabilities, giftedness, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, and various socio-emotional challenges. Michelle focuses on making the experience as fun and easygoing as possible by taking time to get to know each child, build rapport with them, and ensure a warm and fun environment.
